Updated: Mar 16

The Vigilante Series was written by Claude Bouchard and it was published in 2016. You can purchase it on Amazon/Kindle and you can visit the author on Amazon and on social media.

A fast-paced thriller of a series, and I loved every page of it. The characters and the plot were believable and extremely entertaining.

The city of Montreal and its people were sweltering in the summer of 1996, but crime wasn't taking a break from the heat. Over the course of six months there were sixteen murders and rapists kept busy, as did other criminals against people and property. Lt. Dave McCall keeps busy with the day to day business of trying to solve these crimes but there's someone else who has taken on the evils of the city and his solutions involves the shedding of a lot of blood. McCall receives e-mails from this self appointed assassin but the vigilante refuses to identify himself. Dave contacts a computer communications expert, Chris Barry, to help him in his hunt for this ruthless killer of criminals. This new partnership grows into a deep friendship and together Dave and Chris embark on a long journey of adventures, in their attempt to bring down the Vigilante, but will they be successful? (This review encompasses the first six books of the Vigilante Series) From involving myself in the bloody brutality of crime and its justice at the hands of a vigilante, I was consumed and compelled with these stories. The plots were very well executed as it involved city crime, homelessness, a bank heist and a terrorist plot. Chris Barry and Dave McCall have a very intriguing relationship and I am very interested in continuing to read about their adventures. The author is not new to me as I have read and reviewed other books of his but there is no doubt that he has evolved over the course of the last ten years and his status as a "best-selling author" is very well deserved. This was a fast-paced thriller of a series, and I loved every page of it. The characters and the plot were believable and extremely entertaining. I loved it!

I give The Vigilante Series a 4 out of 5 stars.
